    bending point of a bean

    can some help with this

    the bending point in a beam is given in the formule below

    M = 3x(20-x)
    -----------
    2

    Where x meteres is the distance from the point of support. Calculate the value of x when the bending point is 40 Nm. A trial and error method will not be accepted


    Also CAn you help me rearrange the below equation

    I assume M = 40 ... multiply both sides by 2 and solve the resulting quadratic equation


    Also CAn you help me rearrange the below equation

    start by squaring both sides of the equation to remove the radical ...
