    steps in logarithm equation I've forgotton

    question is; solve for y in terms of x

    log5x2/ log53- log5y=2
    log5x2/ log53 - 2 = log5y

    anyway, this is as far as I know to take this question. Can anyone shed light for me?

    Hint: Take your original equation and multiply both sides by \log_5(3).
