    a easy log question...need solved....stuck

    Given that logbase6(2)=0.387, Determine the value of logbase6(9)...

    this is where i got....
    2logbase6(3)/logbase6(3)+logbase6(2)

    our teacher said this should be easy but for some reason i am stuck
    plzzhelp me solve

    I would write:

    \log_6(9)=\log_6\left(\frac{36}{4} \right)

    Now, apply the properties of logs and you should find the only remaining log is the one for which you are given an approximation.
