To divide a fraction by another,you flip the one you are dividing by to get the reciprocal and then multiply

5/8 '/. 2/3 = 5/8 x 3/2

5 x 3 = 15
8 x 2 = 16

therefore 15/16 which = 0.9375

However 5/8 = 0.625

Divide this by 3 and you get 5/24
so x2 and you get 10/24

10/24 /= 15/16

i suppose you are confused that you did not get the same answer? well, you shouldn't. what you did afterwards amounted to computing

if you wanted to get the same result with two different operations, you need to take 5/8, divide it by 1/3 and then divide the answer again by 2
