Thread: logarithims question need help

Let log(36)=a and log(125)=b. Find log(1/12) in terms of a and b

i noe u have to break it up by finding multiples or maybe there is another way of solving it??

Are we given a base for the logs, or is this supposed to be for any base ?
Base 10 is easy since 12 = 6*10/5.
