How many cubic feet of water must be pumped into swimming pool 8ft long,
45 ft wide and raise the water by 2ft.

Attempt

V = 45 ft x 8 ft x 2ft (2) = 1440 ft^3

How did you get the additional 2?

The answer is just V = 45ft x 8ft x 8ft = 720 ft^3

How did you get the other 8ft sir?
It says raise the water by 2ft. Why is it that the 2ft not included?

The second 8 in the expression for the volume is just a typo. It should be a 2.
