    hey guys, is  \frac{1}{3} a rational number. just want to be sure, thanks

    Yes, a rational number is of the form \frac{a}{b} where a,b\in\mathbb{Z} and b\ne0.

    In other words, an integer divided by a non-zero integer is a rational number.

    Yeah It is a rational Number as it's in the form of a/b,where a,b belongs to Z and b is not equal to 0
    i.e. a number which can be written in a simple fraction is known as rational numbers.
