let x be the width of the rectangle. Then the length ist 2x-10. The dimension of the rectangle is x(2x-10)=168. You'll get:

Solve this equation for x (I'm quite sure that you know to solve a quadratic equation) and you'll get x=12 or x=-7. The last solution isn't very probable at a rectangle.
