I have a test in algebra 2 tomorrow and i just got back from thanksgiving break abd forgot how to do these.
here is the problem:
x^2= 6x - 8
I need to graph and find the exact roots.
PLEASE HELP!!
To find the roots, I would right the equation in standard form:
$\displaystyle x^2-6x+8=0$
Now, to factor, you need two factors of 8 whose sum is -6...
To sketch the graph, I would write the quadratic in vertex form $\displaystyle y=(x-h)^2+k$ by completing the square.
Can you now finish?
