Graphing a rational function.
I'm trying to graph
4x^2+12x+9 / x^2-6x-5
I factored out the two
(2x+3)^2 / (x-1)(x-5)
The points I have are
-3/2 with the multiplicity of 2 ( is this a zero for both -3/2 and 3/2 or just -3/2?)
When I plot in the data for these points and check with what the calculator got i get mixed up. Am I missing data?
Re: Graphing a rational function.
You have factored the denominator incorrectly. Use the quadratic formula to find the VAs.
The function has only 1 zero, of multiplicity 2.
