Problem Solving Question
Hi there.

For some reason this question (which should be easy) Just isn't clicking with me.

"In foods class, a group of six students baked three pies. If each student ate 3/8's of the pie, how much pie is left over?"

Let 1 pie be 8/8, 3 pies are $3*\frac{8}{8}=\frac{24}{8}$, Since each child eats $\frac{3}{8}$ of a pie, six of them would eat $6*\frac{3}{8}=\frac{18}{8}$, now you can subtract part of pie that children ate from whole pie -> $\frac{24}{8}-\frac{18}{8}=\frac{6}{8}=\frac{3}{4}$. So the correct answer is (C).
