4x^4*5x^3y/8x^6 = 5xy/2 Can someone show me the steps as to how the answer was derived? I got the answer from the back of my book on algebra. Thanks chaps.

$\displaystyle \frac{4x^4\cdot5x^3}{8x^6}=\frac{4\cdot5\cdot x^{4+3}}{8x^6}=\frac{4\cdot5\cdot x^{6+1}}{8x^6}=\frac{4x^6\cdot5x}{4x^6\cdot2}= \frac{5x}{2}$
