    Does Cramer's Rule always work

I got a homework question asking if Cramer's Rule always works. I cant find the answer to it on google or any search engines, so wondering if I can get some help here. Thanks.

If the determinant of the original matrix equals 0 then it will fail Cramer's rule, otherwise it should always work. Cramer's rule will also not apply if your coefficient matrix is not square.
