49/50 are both under the radical, i dont know how to make a radical sign in this text editor

the 49 obviously cancels out to 7, but where do i go from there?

Hey snazzy.

If you have windows then go to run and type charmap and press enter. Then scroll down until you see a square root sign in your font and then select, copy, and paste into your document.

$\sqrt{ \frac{49}{50}}= \frac{ \sqrt{49}}{ \sqrt{50}}= \frac{ \sqrt{7^2}}{ \sqrt{2\cdot5^2}}= \frac{7}{5 \sqrt{2}} \cdot \frac{ \sqrt{2}}{ \sqrt{2}}= \frac{7 \sqrt{2}}{10}$
