Okay, Someone please tell me what am I doing wrong here.

Multiply: http://www.imathas.com/cgi-bin/mimet...frac{{4}}{{5}}

Give your answer as a fraction, reduced to lowest terms

__________.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I mean I straight multiply like they told me, I reduced, but for some reason I'm not getting the correct result.

Look: http://www.imathas.com/cgi-bin/mimet...frac{{4}}{{5}} =4/40

4 =2(2)

40= (2) (2) (2) (5)

I canceled matching number (which is 2) ....

I don't get it, so what am I doing wrong !!??!?! D :

You actually need to cancel 2 twice... (Or rather, since there is a common factor of 4 on the top and bottom, you can cancel off 4).
