Let $n$ be the number then the other number is $5n$

We are told that their difference is $5n-n=892$
Can you finish from here?

4. ## Re: Not understanding....

ok, I understand.....,
5x -x =892
4x/4 , 892/4
X= 223

but would the two numbers they're asking for be 5 and 223?

5n-5n=892

4n/4 and 892/4

n= 223, but I don't know which of this numbers to log in?.. Do I have to multiply 5(223) to get the other increasing number?
