    Rational Exponents

    I didn't seem to get the right answer for this one:

    \sqrt[3]{2b^3}

    My answer:

    (2b)^\frac33

    Book Answer:

    2^\frac13b

    I do not understand how the book got this answer... can anyone explain this for me??

     \sqrt[3]{2b^{3}} = (2b^{3})^{\frac{1}{3}}

    So  (2b^{3})^{\frac{1}{3}} = 2^{\frac{1}{3}} \cdot (b^{3})^{\frac{1}{3}} =  2^{\frac{1}{3}}b
