Reciprocal inequation with absolute value
Hi,
I have problem with solving this:
http://www.texify.com/img/\LARGE\!|2...7 x %2B 2|.gif
I factorise to:
http://www.texify.com/img/\LARGE\!|2...ac{1}{2})|.gif
and then solving on 7 different intervals, where is 1th, 3th, 5th and 7th equal to http://www.texify.com/img/\LARGE\!x^...frac{2}{7}.gif (so it is irelevant) and 2th, 4th and 6th equal to http://www.texify.com/img/\LARGE\!x\le 0.gif .
Set of solutions is: http://www.texify.com/img/\LARGE\!x\...C0\rangle .gif
Can anyone tell me where I make mistake?
Re: Reciprocal inequation with absolute value
Hey kotrfa.
For your functions (without the absolute signs), which parts are positive and which parts are negative? (What you will do is basically take the negative parts and make them all zero since you have an absolute function).
Then concentrate on the non-zero parts and compare those portions.
