    The foward slash bracket is a division symbol
    The first is (-654.796)/(-100) ?

    Negative divided by negative = positive.

    = 654.796 / 100

    To make the denominator 100 as 1 only, move the decimal point two places to the left.
    100. ----------------> 1.00

    You do that in the denominator, you also do that in the numerator. Move the decimal point two places to the left.
    654.796 ----------------> 6.54796

    Then, 6.54796 / 1 = 6.54796 ------------the answer.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------

    0.01x{[(4-0.25)/2.5]-(4.5-4.025)}

    You worked hard to get to this expression, huh?
    Very good job!
    Except that you could have not included the "x" for "times".
    Use the "*" for "times" the next time, if you want to emphasize "times".

    I don't know how to explain this now, but we do first the "inner" things, the addition or subtraction inside the parentheses. Things like that.

    = 0.01*{[(3.75)/2.5]-(0.475)}

    Now the 3.75/2.5,....(use a calculator if it is allowed)

    = (0.01){1.5 -0.475}

    = (0.01){1.025}

    = 0.01025 --------------------answer.
