    Help with simple question

    Hey there
So I've got this equation, where I have to find y and for some reason I've completely blanked on how to do an easy as part.
    The equation is 0=(y-1)/x.
My teacher told me I have to move the y over to the left first but I honestly just don't know how to do that when the y isn't on the denominator.
    Can someone please help?

You can get rid of the fraction by multiplying both sides by x.
