    What is the question exactly?

    And what is your equation meant to be, use brackets:

    x-\frac{3}{6}+3=a

    \frac{x-3}{6+3}=a

    That's probably correct... \frac{x-3}{6+3} = a seems like a stupid question. Of course, 6+3 = 9, right?

    I think it will be solved like this,
    =>x-(3/6)+3
    =>(x/1)-(1/2)+(3/1)
    =>(2x-1+6)/2
    =>(2x+5)/2
    what is mathematical induction
