Thread: Transposing by cross multiplying help needed

Problem is

Step 1. 6/4 = 2/N-3

Step 2. 6 x (N-3) = 4 x 2

Step 3. 6N - 18 = 8

Step 4. 6N = 8 + 18

Divide both sides by 6

N = 26/6

= 4.3v

Can anyone tell me how they came from getting Step 3 out of Step 2?
