Transformation of functions?
I'm doing some seemingly basic transformations with functions and I need a quick little help.
The universal mapping notation for solving the equations is: (x/k +d, ay +c)
Now, if I'm correct, the d is always opposite right? If you have a minus for the equation, it is + when you input and vice versa. But what about the c? It says +c. Does that mean it is always +? Or is it whatever it is in the equation?

The term "universal mapping notation" is not universally accepted in mathematics. This seems to be some approach to solve equations that is described in a particular textbook. It would help if you describe the situation and the terms that you are using, such as "when you input."
