[SOLVED] Graph work help!!
hi guys im stuck in a question it says:
a)draw the graph of y=3x

b) draw the inverse function on the same grid
c) write down the equation of the line y=3x and its inverse are symmetrical about.
ive done a and b but im stuck on c please can someone pleez explain it to me???????????

I know this thread is listed as "solved" but as no answer is given I thought I'd answer it, in case someone else did a search for it.

Inverse functions are always symmetric about the line y = x. This is required because if we have a point (x, y) of the function \$\displaystyle y = f(x)\$, then the inverse function must have a point (y, x) corresponding to \$\displaystyle x = f^{-1}(y)\$.
