transpose the following equation to make V the subject
F=UV/U+V
It seems easy but i am really struggling!!
$\displaystyle F = \frac{UV}{U+V}$
Multiply both sides by (U + V)
$\displaystyle F(U+V) = UV$
Expand
$\displaystyle FU + FV = UV$
Subtract FV from both sides
$\displaystyle FU = UV - FV$
Factor out the 'V'
$\displaystyle FU = V(U - F)$
Divide both sides by (U - F) to get 'V' on its own
$\displaystyle \frac{FU}{U - F} = V$
