Anyone Good With Algebra 2?
Wanted to see if anyone here was good with algerbra 2 and would be able to get on join.me and help me take assignments on it.

Currently going over:

-Reflections and Translations
-Stretches and Compressions
-Composition of Functions

Quote:

-Reflections and Translations
Graph Reflections & Transformations:
\$\displaystyle f(x)+a\$ shifts the graph up a units for positive values of a, and shifts down for negative values of a.
\$\displaystyle f(x+1)\$ shifts the graph LEFT for positive values of a, and shifts RIGHT for negative values of a.
\$\displaystyle -f(x)\$ reflects graph in x-axis
\$\displaystyle f(-x)\$ reflects graph in y-axis

Quote:

-Stretches and Compressions
Graph Stretches & Compression:
\$\displaystyle kf(x)\$ scales the graph vertically. i.e. stretches if k>1 and compresses if k<1
\$\displaystyle f(kx)\$ scales the graph horizontally. i.e compresses if k>1 and stretches if k<1

Quote:

-Composition of Functions
Composite functions example:
\$\displaystyle f(x)=x^2 -1, g(x)=3x-4\$
\$\displaystyle f(g(x))\$
\$\displaystyle =f(3x-4)\$
\$\displaystyle =(3x-4)^2 +1\$

\$\displaystyle g(f(x))\$
\$\displaystyle =g(x^2 +1)\$
\$\displaystyle =3(x^2 +1)-4\$
