How would you write this in LaTex
sqrt [1+(x\ sqrt 1- x²)²]

this was my ans 1/1+x²the book was 1\sqrt 1+x²

why are you using a backward slash \ ???

the forward slash / is used for division, not \

is the book's simplification $\frac{1}{\sqrt{1+x^2}}$ ?
