Can't read your stuff...too small...is it one problem in 3 parts, or 3 problems?
Anyhow, try post it HERE; nobody likes to click on anything !

That last page is difficult to read. It really would be helpful if you could type it, or provide a better scan.

Also, since this is a large, multi-page assignment, it would be best if you could ask specific questions about parts that you are having trouble with.

3600x^2/3600 + 3600y^2/1296= 3600
x^2 + 2.78y^2= 3600
x^2 + 2.78(0.64x^2+57.6x+1296)
x^2 +1.78x^2 +160.13x+3602.88= 3600
2.78x^2 +160.13x+ 2.88
x = 57.6
3317.76 + 2.78y^2 = 3600
y = 10.076
(-57.6, -10.08)

Hope that help!!
Thanks;

These calculations look correct, though I think your work could be a little neater and you should probably make it clearer exactly which part of the problem you are working on, as it took me a few moments to figure that out. But it does seem that you've correctly identified the (approximate) coordinates of the point R.

The question also asks you to determine an appropriate x-coordinate for V. And, in order to make sure that Gary will accept the proposal, you will have to verify that the profit he would make equals or exceeds \$50,000.
