x^2 +1.78x^2 +160.13x+3602.88= 3600
2.78x^2 +160.13x+ 2.88
x = 57.6
3317.76 + 2.78y^2 = 3600
y = 10.076

These calculations look correct, though I think your work could be a little neater and you should probably make it clearer exactly which part of the problem you are working on, as it took me a few moments to figure that out. But it does seem that you've correctly identified the (approximate) coordinates of the point R.
The question also asks you to determine an appropriate x-coordinate for V. And, in order to make sure that Gary will accept the proposal, you will have to verify that the profit he would make equals or exceeds $50,000.
