    Inequality Problem

    What are the possible values of x for which 2x < 2 < 3x?

    Why can we simplify to 2/3 < x < 1? I'm getting stuck with that "2" in the middle..

    Split it into two separate inequalities.

    2x < 2
    x < 1


    2 < 3x
    2/3 < x


    So we require 2/3 < x < 1.
