    factoring without c value

    Hi;

    Does x^2 -2x factor to (x - 2)(x - 0).

    Yes. This polinom has 2 real root:
    x1 = 0
    x2= 2

    first rule of factoring ... pull out any factor each term has in common.

    x^2 - 2x = x(x - 2)

    ... in this case, you're done.
