I have been trying to solve the problem since last night. I'm in the process of re learning math and it may seem simple to some but I just cant seem to solve this question. There is a multiple choice answer but can you please explain to me how to solve the problems step by step I would greatly appreciate it.

The last term isn't integer so answer cannot be an integer .

substitute in the given values for C, D, and d ...
 + \frac{11(14)}{7} + \frac{(14)^2}{4(25)})
now, if you can't do it by hand, get out your calculator.
by the way, one of the answer choices is close, but not what I would call the length of the belt.
Re: Need to solve a problem that involves Exponent and multiple operating steps
I appreciate all the answers but can anyone solve this question I know the answer is B=73 but if someone can explain it to me I would greatly appreciate it. After substituting all the numbers and following the order of operation I just can't seem to figure it out (Headbang)
Re: Need to solve a problem that involves Exponent and multiple operating steps
You're not listening: the answer is NOT 73. What does (12+2)^2 / (4*25) equal ??
Re: Need to solve a problem that involves Exponent and multiple operating steps
I have a copy of an official test by steck vaughn including the answer sheet and the answer is most definitely 73. I have been on this problem for 2 days now but I will figure it out.

One more time ... the length of the belt is not 73 inches. That answer is close, but the length according to the given formula is closer to 74 inches.
