    sqroot 2 = 2^0.5

    Hi sorry to ask, I am doing logs,but Im lost on sqroot 2 = 2^0.5

    Generally \sqrt[n]{a}=a^{\frac{1}{n}}. So \sqrt{2}=\sqrt[2]{2}=2^{\frac{1}{2}}=2^{0.5}.

    Grammatical point- there is no such word as "indice". "Indices" is the plural of "index".
