If it takes Neptune 165 years to orbit the sun, what is the distance (in Au) of Neptune from the sun? Round your answer to two decimal places ?
Kepler's Third Law of Orbital Motion states that the period P(in Earth years) it takes a planet to complete one orbit of the sun is a function of the distance d(in astronomical units, AU) from the planet to the sun. This relationship is P=d^3/2

    Re: Algebra 2

So, apparently you are having trouble solving the equation 165 = d^(3/2). What exactly is your difficulty? To remind, one solves equations by applying the same transformation to both sides with the goal of making one side to be the unknown variable. E.g., given 5 = 3 + x, we add -3 to both sides to get -3 + 5 = -3 + 3 + x = x.

Why do you use a question mark in this sentence?
