I had an idea for an equation to make a point, but I am having some issues with rusty math. The real world conundrum is that we are still applying an incredible amount of pesticides to crops and some of the compounds are no safer than when Rachel Carson exposed them in Silent Spring (1962). Certainly government regulations have not kept up with the influx of new chemicals. So, I need an equation that shows that an exponential number of buyers (b) who come out against (a) the chemical conspirators (c^{2}) can reduce that number of chemical conspirators. My first shot was b^{x}a = c^{2 }but someone thought this required an inverse proportion.

Please advise on how the concept can resolve in a real equation.
