solve exponential equation
39.6399(0.904559)^x=0.5
solve for x with working: hey guys can anyone solve this ill try to solve it right now - i think you convert to log to solve - ill see if i can do it - then ill compare answers with yours

0.5/39.6399 = (0.904559)^x <=> ln(0.5/39.6399) = ln((0.904559)^x) = ln(0.904559)*x <=> x = ln(0.5/39.6399) / ln(0.904559)

I can do the rewrite because ln(2^x) = ln(2)*x

wroking on the problem and my answer is 43.59566977
subbing it into the equation and i got 0.49 recurring which is basically 0.5 rounded to (1dp)
lol i solved my own question :) thanks nicklasaau for your help though :)
