Do I factor this out? I am drawing a total blank here for my Community College online math class...AN explanation of the steps involved is due tonight and I can't even begin this...This is our last weekly question and I am stumped! Any help appreciated...

first rule of factoring ... factor out any common factors from each term

Common factors would be 25a, correct?

25a(a² -1) = 0 I had it to here before...but then I am stumped because it is an equation...I have been working on factoring trinomials...there is so much material covered in a semester and i am find doing homework but then when stuff is tossed at me random i freeze up and don't know which "thing" for lack of an intelligent word, lol, to DO....

OMG, THANK YOU... I think i have math brain rot here at the end of the semester...there is so much to learn...believe it or not i have an A average but at 44 my brain is more like swiss cheese than a sponge....
