It always helps to see it how it would be written on paper:

$\displaystyle \displaystyle \begin{align*} y = \frac{\frac{-a(fb-ec)}{bd-ea} + c}{b} \end{align*}$

Here you have fractions inside fractions. To start, it would help if the first numerator (which contains a fraction and a whole number) was written with a common denominator.
