    Logarithm

    Hey there,

    Please could someone help me with the following:

    463.19=1000/((1+r10 )^10)

    I need to make r10 the subject... r10 =

    This is what I have done....

    (1+r10 )^10 moves over to the left hand side because you are multiplying.

    You then move 463.19 over to the right hand side.

    So the equation should read:

    (1+r10)^10= 1000 / 463.19

    Up until this point, I really do not know what to do next. The power has completely thrown me.

    Please could someone help me work through this and provide some explanation? Thank you for your time. All the best.

    \displaystyle{r_{10}} = \sqrt[{10}]{{0.46319}} - 1
