Thread: Compute and simplify the difference quotient...assistance

I am practicing for a test...I am not looking for the answer, but rather, some assistance if someone could please take me through this problem as I am very confused by this one. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

to get f(x+h), just replace every "x" with "x+h"

cancel out and then divide by h to finish.
