    Convert Expression from One Form to Another

    hi,

    i need help expressing this:

    ( 1-\sqrt{3}) + ( 4-2\sqrt{3}) in form of a+b\sqrt{3}

    i would like to have some help on how to answer this and have it expalinedclearly so i understand.

    Can you combine (1-x)+(4-2x)~?

    that would be 2x^2-6x+4

    Do you have any idea about any of this?
    The problem is about addition.
    It is not about multiplication.
    Add like terms.
