Hello I am new here in Mathhelpforum, I am trying a sample civil service exams (a reviewer)... and then I saw a question like this:
30% is to 3/5 as 60% is to ____?
1. 1 1/5 2. 1 ¼ 3. 3 ½ 4. 2 1/3 5. 2 ¾
I figure that 30% = 3/5 because of this solution:
30/100 divided by 5 = 6/10
6/10 divided by 2 = 3/5
(I actually don't remember if the solution is correct)
but what about 60% if choices involves a whole number and a fraction?
60% it to 6/5 = 1 and one fifth.Quote:

sorry sir I am a bit slow and still not getting the answer... I forgot how to convert fraction into combination of whole number and fraction. Can you show me a solution on how to convert 6/5 to 1 1/5. Thanks in advance
