    some quadratic equation

    How to solve the following equation

    5^(2x) - 5^(x+3) + 125 = 5^x

    This problem has been given under quadratic.

    Any help in this regard solicited.

    5^{2x} - 5^{x+3} + 125 = 5^x \Rightarrow 5^{2x} - 5^{x+3} + 125 - 5^x = 0

    note that 5^{x+3} = 5^x \cdot 5^3

    factor 5^x and factor 5^3
    or you can let  y = 5^x and see what happened
