How to solve the following equation
5^(2x) - 5^(x+3) + 125 = 5^x
This problem has been given under quadratic.

$\displaystyle 5^{2x} - 5^{x+3} + 125 = 5^x \Rightarrow 5^{2x} - 5^{x+3} + 125 - 5^x = 0 $
note that $\displaystyle 5^{x+3} = 5^x \cdot 5^3 $
factor 5^x and factor 5^3
or you can let $\displaystyle y = 5^x $ and see what happened
