$\displaystyle 5^{2x} - 5^{x+3} + 125 = 5^x \Rightarrow 5^{2x} - 5^{x+3} + 125 - 5^x = 0 $

note that $\displaystyle 5^{x+3} = 5^x \cdot 5^3 $

factor 5^x and factor 5^3

or you can let $\displaystyle y = 5^x $ and see what happened - Dec 13th 2011, 08:29 PMarangu1508Re: some quadratic equation
Thank you. I will do that and get back to you.
