Hey, could anyone please offer some insight and solve: 30x+4x^2-16x^3 I'm sure once I see it I can keep doing it without assistance. Thank You!
Re-arrange:
$\displaystyle -16x^3 + 4x^2 + 30x$
When you say SOLVE, I assume it's equal to 0
So:
$\displaystyle -16x^3 + 4x^2 + 30x = 0$
$\displaystyle 16x^3 - 4x^2 - 30x = 0$
$\displaystyle 2x(8x^2 - 2x - 15) = 0$
$\displaystyle 2x(4x + 5)(2x - 3) = 0$
So $\displaystyle x = 0$ or $\displaystyle x = - \frac{5}{4}$ or $\displaystyle x = \frac{3}{2}$
