    Graph of y = 2x + 2

Please excuse my lack of understanding Windows 7 and Excell.

    I have included a sketch of a graph; y = 2x + 2

I have sketched this on graph paper and the appearance is the same as the attachment. I am happy that I have sketched the graph correctly, however I can't get Excell to re-produce the same graph?

It's quite clear that when inputting the data, i.e. when x = 0 y = 2 and the coordinates (3,8) and (-5, -8) that I am clearly getting it wrong, the graph is like a uneven land scape?

I know the graph is a straight line graph which cuts the y axis at 2, but I can't get Excell to do it?

Would someboby please show me how to input the data correctly.

    Thanks

Thank you for your link and advise.

The software package is very presentable, but please advise, how did you use that package to plot the points as I am struggling to find where to enter the data?

    Thanks

see inserting a series of points and calculating a trendline starting on page 43 of the linked pdf manual ...
