    can you help please?

    f (x) = x-7-2x^3 +5x^2

    state the order of f (x)

    what does the question mean?
    and how do i solve it? thank you!

    The order (sometimes called the "degree") of a polynomial in one variable is the largest exponent that appears. So since the largest exponent of x is 3, this is a 3rd order polynomial.
