    Reverse Percentage

    Hi,

I am looking for the formula to figure out a reverse percentage: i.e. What would the retail price be if 25% is deducted from the retail price and the discounted price come to $3,474.60? Or if you have a total price of $10, which includes 5% sales tax, how would I figure out what the product alone costs without the sales tax?

    Solve this: 1.05X=10 for X.
