1. ## Finding Nth Roots

I need to find the indicated real nth root(s) of a.

I myself cannot understand the instructions well, as you guys know my English comprehending skills are not good at all.

I have an example problem here.

n = 2, a = 100;

Would this be $\sqrt[2]{100}$ ?

= 10

or -10 indeed.

I got a bit confuse with this other one.

Problem:n = 6, a = -1

$\sqrt[6]{-1}$

= $-1\sqrt{stuck}$

There are no real roots. Do you know DeMoivre's Theorem? If not, there is no point in attempting this question. If so, then I suggest you go to your class notes or textbook and review how it is used for problems like this one.
