    matrices

    solve for (x,y):

    [-2 x] [5 3] = [6 y-4]
    [ 3 1] [x -1] [11 y^2+4]


    its a 2x2 multiplied by a 2x2 and the product is another 2x2 matrix

    this is a pretty straight forward question, multiply the matrices on the left and then equate corresponding components. you do know how to do matrix multiplication, right?
