Determine the equation in the form f(x)=1/(kx-c) for the function with a vertical asymptote at x=-1 and a y-intercept at -0.25. I don't get how you get k or c.

The y intercept is where . The asymptote is a point the graph will tend towards but never reach. When will a value for not exist for ? Hint: Consider the denominator.
I got c=4 and k=-4, but so is the answer 1/(-4x-4)?

Okay, thank you!
